Staff Internship or Volunteer Internship
Which fits you?
ISI offers two options of its Internship Program, the 1) Staff Internship and the 2) Short-Term Volunteer Internship. Both options provide superb ministry experience under the careful mentoring of experienced international student ministry experts. The difference is the length of the internship and the manner in which your personal support is raised—through ISI or your local church.
1. Staff Internships (Option 1)
An ISI Staff Intern is a person who seeks a practical international student ministry practicum training under the direct supervision of an ISI staff member. Those interested might include: 1) a foreign-born individual eligible to work in the United States, 2) individuals who desire a no-risk short internship experience first before deciding on longer term involvement, 3) and individuals with no direct international student ministry experience before.
2. Short-Term Volunteer Internships (Option 2)
A short-term Volunteer Internship is designed for Christian college students or recent graduates who often seek greater flexibility in a short-term international student ministry experience under veteran ISI staff, but who a) have no need or desire to go through ISI’s extensive staff orientation and training pathway (required for all staff employees of ISI) or, b) a young individual who learned of ISI from an ISI exhibit booth at a college campus or at a large emerging young leader events: Urbana student convention, Passion or Fusion.
